The other day I was re-organising my makeup draws when I noticed masses of Australis products amongst my very, very large collection. Less than two days later I was walking out of Priceline with a bag of even more Australis products including lipsticks and nail polishes.
I love Australis products. The range is extensive, the colours available are fantastic and best of all Australis products are affordable!
Anyway, it got me thinking. Australis had been around for as long as I could remember and by the looks of things the brand was still going strong. I wanted to chat to the team at Australis and find out what’s new for the sound beauty brand.
When did Australis first begin?
Australis was born in the year of 1987 making this year Australis’ 25th Birthday celebration! Yipeee
How did Australis get started?
Australis started off by selling seasonal suncare necessities and then recognised that there was a need in the marketplace for an all Australian brand that offered affordable make-up accessible to your every day consumer
Recently I’ve noticed the brand growing and going from strength to strength. What is the reason for this sudden growth?
We are very proud of creating great products at affordable prices. Girls realise now more than ever that it is unnecessary to spend a lot on make-up when you can get awesome products at under $20. Australis also has a great range of speciality lines including Ready Set Go Finishing Powder, Face Primer and Make-Up Finishing Spritz that are proven staples for every girl’s prep and finish routine
How does Australis differ from other cosmetic brands in the marketplace?
Australis is an all Australian brand and all activity down to store level is aimed at the Aussie girl and living in her lifestyle! Our entire range is under $20 and products developed are inspired by fashion and beauty trends all over the world
Can you please identify the ideal Australis customer?
She is between the ages of 13-25, highly fashion conscious, edgy, likes to party and she knows exactly what she wants when it comes to cosmetics in her beauty bag!
Can you please tell us about the latest products in the range?
It’s all about the eyes! Mascara All Sorts campaign kicked off in April celebrating the launch of 7 mascaras for every sort of lash! Whether it be length, curl or volume or just some TLC we have the mascara for you. Check it out here.
What is the one product in the range that EVERY girl needs?
Definitely a pop of Colour Inject Lipstick! Flamenco is one of best-selling lippies. You also can’t go past the Eyeshadow Primer. This little genius bottle does wonders! Keeps eyeshadow colour looking vibrant and stays put all day long.
What’s on the horizon for Australis?
Plenty of surprises coming up later in the year. A cool new campaign with new imagery and maybe some birthday surprises. Stay tuned!
