A donut for your noggin!

I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m never ahead of fashion and trends, I’m always a few steps behind.

You may have already seen plenty of articles and tutorials on the high bun but for those of you who, like me, are maybe a couple of weeks behind then hope you find this handy. Heads up – I did this in between painting nails so please excuse the one completed hand and one naked hand. Oops!

Tools you need - Hair brush, hair tie, bobby pins and a hair donut. You can buy hair donuts from places like Hair Attack.

Step 1 – Tie your hair into a pony tail – make sure you secure pony at the height you want your bun.

Tie your hair into the ponytail

Step 2 - Grab the hair donut and put your ponytail through the centre the spread your hair over and around the donut like a fountain.

and through the donut...

Spread your hair back over the donut like so...

Step 3 - Now sweep your hair over and back under the donut making sure the donut isn’t visible. Using the bobbypins, pin the ends of your hair under the bun.

Some looks to inspire you... (photos from google, pinterest and withanddelight.tumblr)

So there you have it, a gorgeous look that’s easy to create!

What hair trend are you loving right now?

love it but I can’t do the high bun, it really hurts my hair or is it my scalp… either way a high bun hurts me. I am loving braids at the moment, braids and twists.

I loooove the donut hair! I am too lazy to go out buy a hair donut so I used a sock that I cut the end off and rolled in to a donut :D

That’s very clever Nic! Found my dog chewing on my donut the other day so if it ever disappears I’ll know how to replace it
