A pinch and a punch for the first day of the month. Happy 1st day of Winter!
Pastel perfection – Loving pastel eye-makeup at the moment. Head to Pinterest for inspiration.
An instant smile – You want to win me over? Then buy me a bunch of flowers. I love having flowers around the house or on my desk at work. They’re beautiful, cheery and a little luxury I like to spoil myself with.
Han-gry – a state of anger caused by lack of food; hunger causing a negative change in emotional state. Something I suffer from. If I’m hungry then steer clear.
Kit-out your lipstick collection – Kit Cosmetics now stock every colour lipstick you could ever wish for after launching a number of new gorgeous hues to their already extensive range. I tried and tested the lipsticks this week, see post here.
Pedestrian.TV Blogster Award Entry -As a part of our competition entry we had to do a 200-word feature on what we had for breakfast on the weekend. Check out some of the fantastic entries from my fellow contestants, all fantastic food bloggers!
Australis, 25 years and still going strong -For 25 years Australis has been providing the women of Australia with gorgeous (and affordable) makeup. I got the chance to interview the team from Australis, check out my interview here.
Keith’s Klein’s – Women (and many men) of Australia swooned on Monday night when Keith Urban flashed his hot stomach and Calvin Klein’s on the voice. Within minutes @Keithsundies appeared on Twitter.
Warm cinnamon scrolls with cream cheese frosting – One of my most favourite winter treats is a warm cinnamon scroll covered with cream cheese frosting. As you pull the scrolls out of the oven the sweet smell of cinnamon, a true winter spice, fills the kitchen. As soon as those scrolls hit the bench I put a huge dollop of cream cheese frosting on top and watch it melt and ooze over the scrolls and into every crack, ready to be eaten straight away. Check out the recipe and step-by-step guide here.
Taste of Hawaii – The Grace Hotel brings Hawaii Down Under with the Flavours of Hawaii Food Festival. I love everything about Hawaii and I can’t wait to go and sample or the beautiful flavours and foods.
Pinky -My fav buy of the week is my pastel pink Zara blazer. LOVE LOVE
Hot hair – Loving this look. What hairstyle are you loving right now?
An old fav – who doesn’t like fairy bread? What’s your favourite childhood food?
Only days to go – until the Pedestrian.TV Blogster Award competition closes. I would absolutely love to win, though I’m up against some very tough competition. If you like Lipstick & Cake then please ‘like’ me here. Thank you so much x

Oh how you make me smile every Friday
I too love fresh flowers, and just looking at that beautiful bouquet made me happy. I also get han-gry, luckily I always have a stash of teddy bear biscuits on hand thanks to my little girl. I’ve also recently re-discovered Australis and am loving their killer curves mascara…. was a bit disappointed to see that I am outside the age bracket for their target market though.. hee hee! Wishing you all the very best for the pedestrian blogger award lovely. Happy Friday to you!!! A xxx
Thanks Amy, you’re a star!
