One Saturday each year the Gordon Rugby Club in Sydney hosts Ladies Day, an annual tradition were the women of rugby (wives, mothers, sisters, daughters and friends) are celebrated and thanked for their contribution to the club and rugby community. I love the Gordon Rugby Club. My husband has played there for many years and through the club we have gained many life-long friends and I was more than happy to play ‘organiser’ this year (a move I regretted for just a minute at 2am the night before whilst icing cupcakes).
The planning took over my life for at least a month, hence the lack of posts lately, but Ladies Day has finally happened and it was a success.
The weather on Saturday was phenomenal and we had an absolute cracker of a day eating, drinking and partying! I thought that I’d share the day with you. Maybe you’re looking for party recipe inspiration, or idea’s for decorations or maybe you’d just like a squizz. Enjoy the pics.

We were spoiled!
Thanks to some very generous sponsors our girls were spoilt and entertained. Giftbags supplied by Style Space Colour contained 2 of the latest CD’s from Sony Music, makeup from Face of Australia and gift vouchers from Frockaholics, Leona Edmiston, Reads Online, Osmen Furniture and Virgin Wines.
Huge thanks to everyone who helped on the day (especially my beautiful mama) and to our wonderful and extremely generous sponsors.
