Yo yo yo! Happy Friday peeps x
Dying for a – sleep–in, though I have a feeling it’s not going to happen this weekend.
Loving – Kiehl’s Epidermal Re-Texturising Microdermabrasion at the moment. I don’t have the time or money to get frequent microdermabrasion’s at the salon but the treatment does wonders for my skin so this is the next best thing. Stay tuned for a detailed review shortly.
Winter warmer – We are smack-bang in the middle of winter and I’m really feeling it. With tiled floors and huge windows our house is a little ice-box in winter. This is how I warm up of a night…
Fill your fingers with – Stacked rings. I’m really into stacked rings at the moment and Lovisa have a fantastic range including different colours, sizes and styles. These rings are from the Pastel Pink range at Lovisa $14.99
Food heaven – This week the gorgeous and super cool Ms Critique took me as her date to Churrasco Sydney. I knew the food was going to be good but I was not expecting the multiple strokes I experienced after biting into some incredible food including their fried banana and the pork belly. WOW! Stay tuned for a mouth-watering review soon.
Dreaming – of Hawaii! I live for travel and when I’m not travelling, I’m dreaming about travelling. The last two weeks I’ve been dreaming about Hawaii, the beach, the atmosphere, the shopping and of course the food. Unfortunately I think it will be a few years before I can have my next Hawaiian vacay. DAMN work and the 4-week only holidays. I really need to turn Lipstick & Cake into a full-time gig
Changing my life – This time last week I became the very proud (yet clueless) owner of a Macbook Pro. Although I’m just learning how to use it properly I am already in love.
Bright’s in winter – Brighten up your dark winter wardrobe with some bright accessories. How about this gorgeous blue and silver enamel beam clamp bracelet $16.99
Planning – My friend Alex and I have decided that we need a girls trip to NYC one summer. We have no idea when this is going to happen, but I’m more than happy to keep meeting up and planning our trip over our favourite pasta (at Ottimo’s Italian Kitchen, Hunters Hill) and a few glasses of wine.
Wilson Spa – This weekend I’m going to be having a spa day at home and I can’t wait. Full body and face exfoliating, buff, moisturise, face masks, nails – the lot! Do you spoil yourself with spa days?
I love – Blogging! My life has dramatically changed since I started blogging ten months ago. Every day I realise how much I love writing and working on Lipstick & Cake and it just makes me more determined to make it my full-time gig. Everyday I’m learning more about food, beauty and blogging, I’m challenging myself with new tasks and plenty of deadlines, I’m learning and loving social media, but what I love most about blogging is the community. There are so many inspirational people out there who are sharing their stories and experiences with us. I have met and made some beautiful friends over the last year and it’s so exciting knowing that I’m going to keep meeting more. Sending lots of love to my fellow bloggers out there.
Friends – I have the most gorgeous friends and I can’t get enough of them. There’s nothing I love more than laughing and I get plenty of those with so many of my friends. This is a special shout-out to Alex and Kaz who spoilt me this week xxx
Wine, Wine, Wine – I love a glass of wine with friends (or on my own cooking). One of my goals for the year is to learn more about wines and pairing with foods. What’s your favourite wine?
Bright and beautiful – L’Oreal’s Colour Riche nail polish, Shocking Pink, is spectacularly bright with a gorgeous shiny finish. Seen on the fab Ms Critique this week. Can’t wait to put on my nails tonight.
Most important – Family. I am lucky enough to be a part of a very large and close-knit family. Last Friday night fifteen of my cousins (that’s not even all of them) and I got together for dinner and trip down memory lane. It was the best night and just made me realise how important families are…and that I want lots of kids.

Too funny – I have that good friends quote on my blog today! Great minds huh? And I am desperately trying to find a way to convince my hubby to go to Hawaii for a week in December….. it’s one place I’ve never been and I am DYING to go. I’m currently loving Devils Corner Pinot Noir and I couldn’t agree more with you about family – they are everything. I love mine to bits. Another fab Friday Favourites lovely. A xxx
Oh, I adore that blue bracelet! So much style for such a tiny price. Where did you find that? I’m in the city for our Annual Ladies High Tea today so I might be able to squeeze in a spot of shopping.
I’m loving blogging too. I’m not really a “hobby” type of person but I’ve really enjoyed myself so far.
We were just talking holiday plans last night – we usually go to the UK every three years but it’s a very long way and as much as we love to see my husband’s family, it is a little same old same old.
So next year, we’re heading to the West Coast of the US. I’ve never been to America and I’m really excited. I think it would be much more fun for a 9.5 year old Boyo than traipsing through historical houses and visiting France and Italy like we had planned to do in our Europe trip. Theme parks, here we come! Oooh, I wonder if I could fit in a little side trip to Hawaii?! (I have no sense of direction and failed geography!).
I love your Friday favourite posts they totally make my weekend (I get them via email so don’t always get to read them when I wish I could) and I totally understand that good old Hawaii craving. I saw that one of the travel agencies in my local shopping centre had a $2000 for 7 days round trip and instantly I thought “GIRLY TRIP” in my head. Now to find the time and the money…
