I love all your picks AND pics – I just sent that photo of Marilyn to a friend of mine for her birthday. Love it
I like to space my birthday celebrations out as much as I can, it’s usually a birthday week rather than just a day. Last year I took Little Miss to Rhyme Time and we had coffee and cake afterwards. This year I hope to indulge in high tea at Rochelle Adonis (the ultimate high tea destination in Perth!) and lunch at Nobu with my beautiful little girl and wonderful hubby
I hope you have lots of fabulous things planned for your birthday week. A xxx
Aw whappy early bithday. What plans do you have?
I like spending my birthday with friends and family, doing what I do best – eating. It’s usually at a restaurant, buffet or home bbq/hot pot/spit etc over a couple of drinks. And of course, with cake! My favourite cakes are the fruit sponges. Yum!!
My birthday was a couple of weeks ago and I have been celebrating each weekend since haha. I like to call it my birthday MONTH
celebrating with good friends and family, amazing food and a nap or two
haha
First off – happy birthday!! Hope you have a terrific day
I would spend my birthday by taking the day off if it fell on a weekday, relaxing by treating myself to the spa, and then spending the afternoon/evening with my friends at a laid-back restaurant, sharing some wine. And of course, I’d hopefully get some presents posted to me from family/friends to be surprised!
Oh, what a fabulous idea. Do you know, I think I might borrow it, as I’m having my birthday in a few weeks’ time.
I like to celebrate Festival of Kimba for my birthday. This year, my birthday falls on a Thursday so I’m hoping for cake at work. The boys are taking me out for dinner after work. Then on Friday, the Welshman is taking the day off work to take me lunch at Chiswick. Can’t wait! On Saturday, Boyo has planned an entire surprise day for me. He’s so excited he can’t stop himself dropping little hints! So far, I think the plan is Mama sleep in, breakfast in bed, lunch at the chocolate cafe and dinner at our favourite pub with cocktails and fish and chips (Boyo’s idea of the ultimate sophisticated night out)
I hope you have a Festival for your birthday too! x
A dinner with my hubby and son, then a second dinner (and a few wines) in a totally un-kid-friendly restaurant with my bestie that weekend.
Woo happy birthday week lovely! Hope you get spoilt, just like you’re spoiling this lucky winner
I would love to spend my birthday overseas, preferably in New York, New York! I would start off the day at the Met steps (just like on Gossip Girl) with a coffee and bagel breakfast, then wander down Fifth Avenue looking at all the gorgeous shops, have a picnic lunch in Central Park, and then stop by the Magnolia Bakery for their delicious cupcakes! Then I’d round off the day with happy hour cocktails and dance the night away!
xx.
Aww Happy Birthday for Friday! Is it a “significant” one? Although of course as we get older they all are!
I love to have dinner with my family for my birthday – anything else is a bonus! Oh and my teenagers have started to write me the most beautiful hearfelt birthday cards. Superb. And a cocktail or two!
Thanks Kim-Marie!
Oh a festival, I think i’m going to roll with that.
It sounds like you have a FANTASTIC birthday planned. Chiswick looks fantastic and I’m sure Boyo’s surprise will be the best.
xx
Thanks Nicola! I’ll be 27!
I love to have a family dinner and a cocktail (or two) on my birthday too
xx
Thanks Wendy! That sounds like on incredible birthday.
Finger’s crossed you get to experience a birthday exactly like that
xx
Thanks Angie!
Oooh that sounds like a beautiful day. Wish I could take Friday off and spend it at a spa
xx
Haha I like the sounds of a birthday month Nic!
Happy Birthday for a few weeks ago xx
Thanks lovely! Having a joint birthday dinner with my nephew and family on Friday.
Rest of the birthday weekend is yet to be planned but I’m hoping it will be filled with family, friends and great food
xx
Thanks Amy, haha we are definitely on the same wave length!
Oh I love high tea, I’ll have to go to Rochelle Adonis when I finally visit Perth one day.
Sounds like a perfect way to spend a birthday
xxx
I get so excited for birthdays whether it is my own or someone elses!
How would I LIKE to spend mine?
I’d like to treat all my friends to an evening of merriment, no expense spared. That would include flying in friends from around the world (that’s you Steph!). I’d like to have a big marquee decorated to meet a “Hollywood” theme. Guests would be required to dress up as if they are attending the Oscars – we’re talking black tie and posh frocks – and a red carpet and glitter balls. Champagne and cocktails would flow, plenty of buffet food, and live music to creat a fab atmosphere for dancing. I’d have to add in a Photobooth to capture all the fun, and taxis home on me with a bacon butty for the trip! Lol x
Haha I know you get excited about birthdays Emma!
That sounds like the best birthday. Any chance it might happen for your next birthday?
xxx
I’d love to celebrate my birthday
In a truly special way
A tropical island filled with sun
With my family;we’d have lots of fun
Surrounded by the people I love the most
I’d cut the cake and then make a toast!
Wonderful memories visiting rainforests for hours
Cooling off with waterfall showers!
Happy Birthday! That is a wonderful idea!
I love spending my birthday with my friends and family, going out to lunch or dinner and just sitting around having a nice cocktail or two. I wish I could do a nice trip with the fiance somewhere tropical or to Europe, but that’s one powerball away.
Happy birthday for Friday! I hope you have a wonderful, cake filled day!
For my birthday, I would love to go to New York. To see the sights, go to Magnolia Bakery for birthday cupcakes, go up to the Empire State Building and look out over the magnificent city, and go out for amazing food with my boy.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY (in advance)!!! My birthday’s on the following Wednesday (1 Aug) *excited*
Had the best birthday present ever last year, and I would love to spend it the same way again this year (but I can’t see that happening). My bf took me to Disneyland in LA (I’ve never been to disneyland), and we did a whole heap of shopping (most of which he paid for). Absolutely loved the fact that Sephora was right outside Disneyland
I’ve spent so much time and money browsing through Sephora that I’m pretty sure the bf doesn’t want me anywhere USA anymore..
My ideal birthday would be not to share it with Christmas, however as I do then just to either be taken out to dinner or have dinner made for me and to not have to make any decisions about it.. Oh, and I’m very lucky as Miss Lipstickandcake always makes me a batch of amazing cupcakes, and sometimes she gives me an extra container of icing because she knows I just love icing.
Happy Birthday!
I like to spend my birthday by celebrating with my friends and family, good food and great wine.. and just having the best night with lots of love and laughs
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Yay Love Birthdays.
Being a chef and making cakes for everyone including myself for there Birthday, I would love to celebrate my Birthday one year eating a cake that someone else made for me. That would be the best present ever.
Happy birthday for Friday! Hope you have an awesome one full of fun and happiness
To celebrate my birthday I’d love to spend the night with family alone, having a nice dinner – anywhere’s fine as long as it’s with my family. Then the next day have a party with all my girlfriends and many some of my guy friends, followed by a sleepover with my closet friends
If i was older then I’d love to go overseas to somewhere nice but that’ll have to wait.
xox katie
First of all, Happy Birthday Week!
Birthday heaven would be anywhere there is palm trees, crystal blue water and a champagne bar. Sounds like paradise!
Thanks Vija! I’d love to spend at least one birthday like that.
xx
Sounds like a wicked way to spend a birthday Katie! Thanks for the birthday wishes x
Hi Tanya, I usually make the cakes for all my family and friends too. I’ve told the husband I’d like him to make me a chocolate cake, even if its from a packet.
xx
I would like to spend my birthday with my family and friends, maybe ice-skating and a sleepover where we stay up all night and talk about anything and everything!
<3
Another way I would like to spend it is with the one special person I love and just have a whole day and night with them
I will be spending my sweet sixteenth (August 22nd!!) with family and my 2 closest friends. on the weekend before I will be going to southwharf with my mummy! and the weekend after I will be having some friends over
It’s my 30th this year which means PARRRRTAY TIME! My ideal party would be an Arabian Nights themed event under a big tent, with pouffles & rugs & daybeds to relax on, with cocktails flowing (of course!) xx
Happy birthday for Friday!
I would love to spend my birthday with all my loved ones, there’s nothing better
Happy birthday!! I hope you have a lovely day
I have a large family, so any birthday where I don’t have to cook, clean or change nappies is pretty great lol. My birthday would also feature a quiet soak in the bath with a glass of bubbly, chocolate and a good book- undisturbed by anyone banging on the door for mummy!
Then later a family BBQ with all my gorgeous kids and hubby and alone time with hubby when they’re all asleep. We might even get out for a rare night out, would be nice!
I’d like to celebrate my birthday:
1. at the bowling centre, hopefully enjoying an energy-filled game (where the birthday girl wins, of course!)
2. with those I love, so my cousins from America flying down to visit
3. with a shopping spree!
4. fun stay-at-home BBQ where I treat the guests to some of my…fabulous cooking!
Thank you for the giveaway hun. I hope you have the most amazing birthday ever! xxx
Thanks Jessie! I hope that you get to experience that birthday soon
x
You’re right Melissa, there is nothing better than spending this special day with the ones you love x
Woohoo Rach! Sounds like a brilliant party and planning that party would be so much fun. Let me know if you need a hand, I can help sample the cocktails
xx
Happy sweet 16th for August 22nd Alana! Sounds like a great way to spend your birthday xx
Hi Sheri, sounds like a beautiful way to spend a birthday. I haven’t been ice skating in years.
xx
I love to sleep in and then spend the day with my kid’s going out for a lovely lunch at a fancy resturant.
Happy Birthday for Friday! I’d love to spend my Birthday with my family. A lovely picnic in the park during the day with my hubby and son, then a really special restaurant for dinner and watching my favourite movies on DVD at home in the evening to top it all off!
Already a liker of you FB page
It’s my birthday week too, yay! (my birthday is on Sunday)
What a great giveaway! Thank you
Yesterday ‘kicked off’ my birthday week with a Twinings high tea at JJ’s bar and grill @ Crown (I won tickets a couple of weeks ago) I got to meet Stephen Twining so that was pretty cool. I’m going to the Lindt Cafe with my cousin and Sis on Saturday and then to Village gold class to (hopefully) see Magic Mike! On Saturday night, I’ll probably do something with my cousin, maybe cocktails….and on Sunday (my actual birthday) I will have a special dinner with my family.
My dream way to celebrate my birthday, would be to go to Tiffany’s and buy something special for myself. I hope to one day own something that comes in a little blue box
I’m always very excited in the couple of weeks leading to my birthday (now), so I know how you feel!
Actually my birthday is on 10th August, I’m turning 29 and I’ve been working on a “29 before 30” list (things I want to do in the year leading to my 30th birthday).
Anyway, the best way to spend my birthday would be to in France, reunited with my family, eating my favourite French cake “tarte aux fraises” (strawberry tart). My birthday is in the middle of summer in France, and because here it’s middle of winter it doesn’t feel like my birthday is coming up! Do you know what I mean?!
Lovely prize, I would love to win!
I would love to spend my birthday pampering myself with this beautiful present! While I am opening it I would be sitting on my couch with my cat snuggling up next to me! Then I would hear the doorbell ring to find about 20 of my friends outside who are shouting out HAPPY BIRTHDAY while popping balons and streamers!!!. Then all of them rushing in, and dancing Merengue, Cha Cha Cha and Salsa, and having a house party!
Last but not least………………HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
Wake up to hubby and bub singing happy birthday,
what a great way to start the day.
Out for big breakies to our favourite cafe,
Packed picnic lunch and a walk and play
Nanna nap and “special cuddles” from dad,
Then bedtime for little one so we can take
some time out for mummy with lipstick and cake
It may sound silly and sentimental but I’d love to celebrate my birthday with my grown up kids, hubby & Dad – we havent all been together for my birthday for a decade so it would be very very special.
Sorry so busy thinking about my Dad I forgot to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I would like to have a party this year and catch up with all my old friends (with no kids invited) I am 40 this year Boo Hoo …..
Love spending my birthday away with a trip to the city, catching up with my children, spoiling them and girls time shopping with my daughter. Then dressing up for dinner with my husband at a favourite restaraunt and a glass of wine.
I spent my birthday eating and getting lots of hugs,
PERFECT
I especially love my birthday on the weekend as it makes you feel like your celebrating your birthday. All my memories are shared with my family and friends, getting together for a meal and drinks
My birthdays are always the same – woken at 5am by 5 kids and an assortment of pets, choke down some cold toast with half a jar of Vegemite on it for breakfast in bed, then get up and make birthday pancakes for everyone! It’s become tradition, I love it so much and wouldn’t have it any other way
Steph! What a fantastic idea! Hope you have a super dooper birthday on Friday!
however a trip to the Maldives + cocktails + sun will always make a fabulous birthday getaway xxx
First of all nothing beats being with your closest friends and having a few drinks!! Location doesn’t matter. . . Absolutely anywhere as long as there is chatter, good food and a
big cake and lots of laughs to the point your tummy aches and you need to pee yourself which can be accomplished quite easy with good company
hi I came across your blog today and I love it already!
anyway I would spend my birthday with a nice dinner with friends and family and then maybe have a great party to end my special day! I hope you have an amazing birthday! xx
I recently moved Down Under, so would have a birthday that celebrates all things Sydney! Let’s start with waking up in a Shangri-La suite and breakfast on the balcony with a view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Next would be a pampering day at the Observatory Hotels’s spa, followed by shopping and lunch at Westfield, or perhaps high tea at the Victoria Room. Dinner would be at Cafe Sydney, followed by cocktails and dancing, and perhaps a bit of dive-bar karaoke in the early hours
