Kitchen Quickie – Super Smoothie

September 7, 2012

The change of seasons means a change to my daily breakfasts. This week I said goodbye to porridge and hello to breakfast smoothies!

Smoothies are quick to whip up, tasty, filling and a great way to consume your daily fruit and vitamin intake. Another benefit of Smoothies is that you don’t need to follow a recipe, just make it up with whatever you have in the kitchen.

I call this my super smoothie recipe as it’s filled with all those healthy goodies like fruit, goji berries, Kapai Puku and one of my favourite ingredients C Coconut Water.

INGREDIENTS

Ice

C Coconut Water (if you’re making a big smoothie for two or more than use a whole pack or C Coconut Water, otherwise use half today and half tomorrow)

1 banana

1 passionfruit

1/2 cup canned pineapple pieces

Weis Gelato

Nanna’s Frozen Mixed Berries

Goji Berries

1 tbs Kapai Puku Naked Blend

1 tbs honey

1/2 cup juice, any flavour

METHOD

Chuck it all in a blender and BLEND!!

Drink up and enjoy.

I’ve switched to morning smoothies for breakfast as well! I love just chucking everything in a blender and a few mins later there’s breakfast! This looks like a lovely refreshing recipe :)

I love Spring Summer smoothies! Such a healthy way to start the day.
One of my current favourites is carrot, spinach, watermelon, frozen berries, mint and coconut water. Yum!
