Spring lips from BYS

September 25, 2012

Spring is here and it is filled with colour! Australian beauty brand BYS have launched a range of lipsticks including subtle colours like Champagne Rain, Shimmer Delight and Girly Chic and bolder colours including Fuchsia Surprise, Raspberry Kisses and Halftime Oranges.

“BYS proves it is possible to produce world-class cosmetics without exorbitant price tags. Designed and developed in Melbourne, Australia and exported world-wide, BYS satisfies every type of woman with product that does not just follow current trends, it helps create them.

With a strong emphasis on fun and fashion and with its sophisticated black styling, BYS continues to fill the void for innovative, good quality and great value cosmetics that everyone can afford. There are more than 1000 products within the range and it is growing by the day.”

There are 24 gorgeous shades in the range and at a RRP of $3.95 they are an absolute steal.

Find your shade!

To find a shade that compliments you perfectly go for something that is one or two shades darker than your natural lip colour and looks good even when you don’t have any other make-up on. Try BYS shades such as Sassy Salmon or Naked Mauve. If your first instinct is unsure, then it’s probably not the best colour for you! For a more refined look always use a lip liner which is either the shade of your natural lip or the lipstick itself. For a stunning finish, don’t forget to prep your lips like you would your skin by gently exfoliating and hydrating.

I’ve been wearing the following:

BYS Half Time Oranges (L35) – A red–orange lipstick with a touch of gold shimmer.
BYS Kiss and Make Up (L32) – I call this a Barbie-pink lipstick – bright, matte and the colour of spring.
BYS Pretty Little Thing (L36) – A sheer, peachy colour with a little shimmer. Perfect to wear on its own or on top of a matte colour.

Check out the rest of the BYS range here.

To buy the lipsticks visit Fashion Addict or check BYS’ Australian stockists here.

What colour are you looking forward to wearing this spring?

I’ve never tried BYS before – I’ve always been skeptical because it’s sold at the cheap $2 type shops. Might have to give it a try..
As for colours to wear, I’m going for the pink lip this spring.

Hi Kira! I don’t mind their nail polish or lipsticks. They aren’t necessarily long-lasting but they’re nice and bright and fine for trend-colours.

I’m actually a fan of BYS lippies! I haven’t heard of a lot of the colours you mentioned though, so I might have to make an effort to go out and search for the ones I don’t have!

I have never tried this brand before because I am a big fan of Revlon especially with their lipsticks. They are cheaper than other brands and they have nice shades too. I want to try them and see if it looks good on me just for everyday wear especially when just walking in parks or going to the groceries.

I’m building my collection of BYS Lippies too :-)
