Beauty Review: Salon-smooth legs at home with Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit

October 18, 2012

I really, REALLY dislike going to the salon to get a wax. I like the end results but I don’t enjoy the waxing process at all. I would much rather wax in the comfort of my own home where I can do it anytime, I don’t have to make small talk whilst I have my spikey legs/hoo-ha on display and I don’t have to pay $50-$100 per visit.

It appears that I’m not the only one who would rather pamper at-home.

According to trend forecasting and analysis company WGSN, many Australian women are currently living by the ‘cocoon’ trend. ‘This trend emerged in 2009 as economic uncertainty came into effect during the Global Financial Crisis and consumers felt the need to protect themselves and retreat back to the safety of their homes.

Creating a secure and desirable space to retreat to, as well as the option to save money, become a priority, so the trend for do-it-yourself products, grow-your-own produce and at-home entertainment became a key focus.

Well aware of the cocoon trend and with greater demand for at-home pampering treatments, Veet developed the EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit.

The EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit is the latest from Veet and is the first hot-wax product in the range.  It’s a hand-held device that comes with a wax cartridge which is inserted into the self-heating applicator.  A roll-on nozzle allows for clean, thin layers of wax to be applied evenly and once applied, you remove wax in a swift and fluid motion using the reusable strips.

The verdict…

I really like the Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit. Its simple to set up, easy to apply and it doesn’t make a mess –  no sticky fingers or blobs of wax going everywhere. Sure there’s a quick sting when you first pull off the strip but there’s no more unbearable waiting in anticipation, I call the shots now! It’s a good-looking device that packs away neatly into a box and can be stored easily (unlike those big wax pots) and the wax cartridges are easy to replace. I don’t have to hide my legs between wax appointments, I just wax away whenever it suits me and best of all I don’t need to pay every time.

NOTE: The package says to heat the device for 20 minutes, I’d actually recommend heating it for 30 minutes to ensure a smooth, easy and even application.

The Deets!

There are two types of waxes, one for legs and the other for the bikini and underarm area.

The Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll-on Kit is now on sale at supermarkets and pharmacies.

RRP $39.99 for the Electrical Roll-on Kit and RRP $14.99 for the EasyWax Refills

I actually love waxing! I find that after a few leg waxes, it’s really not that painful and they stay smoother for longer. I am an at home waxer kind of girl so will definitely be testing this out! xx

I’m so glad you like this! I have it at home but am yet to try it (too many events that require smooth legs before the hair can grow enough to be waxed!). I can’t wait to try it even more now!
Waxing is so the way to go, much better than having to shave every few days.
