Recreate Kate Hudson’s Golden Globes Hair.

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards was a spectacular. I spent most of the day scouring sites to check out the celebs, their gowns (or suits), their makeup and of course their hair. Whilst there was nothing but glamour at this year’s awards, my absolute favourite celeb of the night was the gorgeous and charming Kate Hudson.

Her super-sexy black Alexander McQueen gown was divine, her makeup flawless and her hair perfect, surely a style that will become a regular request at blow dry salons around the world. Responsible for Kate’s doo is celebrity hairstylist, David Babaii.

“For this year’s Golden Globes, I wanted to show off Kate’s healthy, shiny hair with a style that emphasised her true Hollywood beauty” said David. “Kate is our generation’s Brigette Bardot, with soft, voluptuous hair that is touchable yet glamorous – she is the perfect muse and my inspiration!” he said.

David has revealed his a step-by-step guide to recreating Kate’s Golden Globes 2013 look.

1. Starting with the Blow Out Rapid Blow Dry Spray – David used the heat protectant spray to speed blow drying time and provide overall texture and structure to the hair.

2. To give a natural fullness that would last the night, David added the Whipped Volume Styling Mousse. Starting with a medium round brush at the root area to add more volume and then switching to a large round brush to smooth hair and create soft, rounded edges.

3. After drying, David created a natural side part and lightly misted Miracle Elixir Nourishing Oil Spray all over for shine and gloss. For Kate’s gorgeous side-swept fringe, David wrapped her hair around a medium round brush, spraying just a small amount of Finished Styling Spray and hit it with the blow dryer on a high heat followed by a quick blast of cool air to set. He gently removed the brush to release the fringe and combed through with his fingers to allow the hair to fall naturally into place.

4. To finish, he misted the hair all over again with Finished Styling Spray for “soft, touchable hair with memory hold”.

She looked great! Which other dresses did you like? I loved the daring sexiness of Juliana Marguelies’ and Megan Fox’s dress 🙂
