How has your week been? Mine has been good, reasonably productive and pretty damn inspiring! I’ve met a number of incredible people this week, some I feel are going to become very good friends.
I’ve got so many ideas for posts and features for Lipstick & Cake and just not enough time in the day to get them all out! Stay tuned next week for some beauty tutorials, a few delicious recipes and hopefully an interview with someone I really, really admire.
I’d love to hear from you! What have you loved this week? What would you like to see on the blog? Pop by and say hi!
I wish you and yours a very, very happy weekend.
Flowers // I love flowers, especially when they’re from friends. Thank you O! x
Lara’s Shades // Lara Bingle looks gorgeous and I am totally in love with her glasses. I want them, I need them. Does anyone know the brand?
This face // I love my gorgeous pups face and her upside-down vampire teeth. The snaggletooth is so hot right now.
Jamie // I love Jamie Oliver and I love his Sydney restaurant, Jamie’s Italian. Beau and I went there on Saturday night to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and waddled out an hour and a half later, barely able to move but very content. I have been to Jamie’s a handful of times and I’m still excited by the ambience and loving all of the food.
Nudie Run // I love a nude lipstick, particularly this one from Model Co’s Party Proof Lipstick range, Nearly Nude. LOVE LOVE LOVE! In fact, I love every Model Co colour.
The way to my heart // is with Crostoli’s! Does anyone know how to make them and want to teach me?
Top of my wish list // is this gorgeous chicken coop from Williams-Sonoma. Did you hear Williams-Sonoma is coming to Australia in just over a month? I love homewares and these stores (also coming is Pottery Barn, Potter Barn Kids and West Elm, all of which fall under Williams-Sonoma) are going to be AMAZING. I’m counting down the days.
Dedication // Now this my friends is dedication. Olivia has been participating in my #lipstickcakelippyaday challenge and even joined in the day after her wisdom teeth surgery. What a legend!
Inspiration // I love being inspired and I hope one day that I can inspire others. One of my favourite sources of inspiration is interviewing successful business people like Lotus Mendes owner Victoria Cheatham. Her story is brilliant and she was kind enough to share it with me here. Victoria also has three beautiful rings to give away. Head to the story for all the details.
Dreaming // of my own home office. I want one just like this.
Hair love // I really need to master the braid.
Sites to see // This week I put together a few fantastic websites that I recommend visiting, including Rifle Paper Co.
Smile // I hope this photo makes you smile! Isn’t it beautiful?
Feel like baking this weekend // why don’t you whip up my Over-the-top indulgence pie?
What are your Friday Faves?
